1:48 scale Arts & Crafts rug, 1902

Needlepoint design by Anna-Carin Betzén, based on a full-scale rug

This rug by C.F.A. Voysey was 3 m (10 ft) long in real life. Stitched with DMC floss on 48 count silk gauze it measures 50×63 mm (2"×2½"), plus fringe.

The grapes are stitched with two strands of floss so they'll look more full and round than a stitch with single floss does.

I finished the rug with a fringe, like the full-scale rug had.
