1:144 scale Kazak rug, 19th century

Needlepoint design by Anna-Carin Betzén, based on a full-scale rug

Stitched on 72 count gauze, my Kazak rug is only 11×19 mm (7/16"×3/4") plus fringe. Embroidery floss isn't thin enough for such high counts, so I used silk sewing thread with one of the plies removed.

Stitched on 48 count, it would be 15×28 mm (5/8"×1-1/8") which is okay too for 1:144 scale!
